My two favorite places are Country Gardens Farm and Nursery and the 180 Degree Farm.
Country Gardens is a small, locally owned business. They garden as closely to organic as they can. (I'm learning that getting the organic certification is a political process, which makes me sad.) Country Gardens has very helpful and friendly staff. Let's give them business so that they stay in business!
180 Degree Farm is a non-profit CSA (community-supported agriculture). They work hard to grow the most nutritious, pesticide-free food possible for their clients, most of whom are fighting cancer or other diseases. They give tours and they are speakers at local organizations. You can get on the waiting list for their CSA or buy Ocean Trace or 180 Plant Dip from them. Read more about the farm in The Citizen.
